Revelstoke Bear Aware hosts electric fencing workshop

Good fences make good neighbours.

Given the new bylaw allowing the keeping of back yard chickens, it is important to be able to protect your livestock from bears.  Bears are commonly attracted to both chickens and their feed.  Keeping a clean chicken coop is very important and so is using electric fences to keep bears (and other predators like dogs) out.

Gillian Sanders of WildSafeBC in Kaslo will be leading the workshop to explain and demonstrate how to correctly install and maintain an electric fence.

The workshop will be held at the McPherson Room at the Community Centre @ 5pm on Tuesday, 20th of October.  Tea and cookies will be served, please bring your own mug!

Donations welcome.
